Can a non-car-owner buy auto insurance to drive any car (rental or friend's)? How does one obtain it?

The type of policy you are looking for is called a "Named Operator Only" policy, they can be more expensive to purchase but it will allow you to rent a car, now this type of policy is for liability only, you would still need to get the damage waiver from the rental company if you rented. When you are given permission to drive another person's car their insurance should cover the vehicle in the event of any liability mishap while you are driving.

I have an interview with Bankers Life and Casualty Insurance Co on Monday… What do you people think of them?

I posted my resume on hotjobs just for sh*ts and giggles and they contacted me telling me they wanted to give me an interview.. Do the hand them out like candy? They said i would be interviewing for a Manage Trainee position and Agent Consultant.. What is the difference between the two and what do you people think? I am at a great job right now and make decent money, but a man has got to better himself right? What do you think?

Just from limited experience with a couple of Bankers Agents, I would say they hire anyone they can get.

I would recommend New York Life, or Northwestern Mutual if you want to be a captive agent.

School for Finance & Insurance for the Automotive Industry…?

Hey guys I've been thinking about going back to the car business, and I'm looking forward to it. I'm thinking about internet sales and I've been looking around online and saw some "colleges" for Finance and Insurance. I saw some testimonials on some of the websites that specify them getting hired as a finance manager with little or no experience. Now my question is how much of this is true or is this another false, over exaggerated claim that a lot of businesses do to attract more customers. I have sales experience with a car dealership before and I just left because I couldn’t handle the hours and the ripping people off mindset. I guess you can say I have a conscience. But now I am ready to go back not to rip people off “as much” LOL. But I guess to see how far I can go in this business because when I left the car industry I believe I left pre maturely. Anyway, I’m looking forward to answers from people that actually know what I’m talking about. That means no stupid answers. Thank you

If you really want to make an impact on your resume, there are a few ways you can go about doing it. One would be to take a course offered by the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals (AFIP). They are the only F&I certification sanctioned by NADA and recommended by NIADA. They have certified over 15,000 people worldwide, and their certification is required by Saturn. They also have an ethics module that puts the ball in your court as far as how you handle customer transactions. This takes the pressure off of the dealership and holds you accountable for your actions within the industry. When you test with them you get a nameplate and a diploma, as well as a certificate of affirmation that you can include in your resume. Good luck and just call the number on their website, they are extremely helpful.

I would like the name of a insurance company that will give home insurance to Pitt-bull owner?

I have lied for years about my dogs breed to my homeowners insurance company and I know that there is some out there that will insure me with a Pitt-bull breed. If someone could please let me know what companys do, or have in the past.

I dont know of ANY company that will do this. There ARE however a FEW companies that will write you a homeowners policy and EXCLUDE the liability for the dog. that way you do not have to lie to them. by lying on your application, you have voided your contract with them and they WILL deny claims and coverage based on the false information you provided. I know Alliance Mutual is a company that will exclude dogs…see if they write in your area.

Where would I purchase liability insurance for a wedding reception?

We are getting married and having our reception in my parent's backyard. We will be serving alcohol, and want to know if/where we can purchase insurance for that day. Is this something we can purchase off of my parents' home owners policy or is there a separate type of policy we would need to purchase?

Travelers Insurance Company offers a Wedding Protector Plan that offers a wide variety of coverage for one small premium amount ranging from a low of $160 to an average of $500 depending on the size of your wedding and the extent of coverage you choose. The policy provides protection for repair or replacement of your Wedding Dress in case of loss or damage, reimbursement of your Lost Deposits in the event a vendor goes out of business or simply fails to show up, Lost Rings–you can receive repair or replacement if the bride or groom's wedding bands are lost or damaged. The policy also covers if Severe Weather causes you to pospone your wedding they will provide reimbursement of non-recoverable expenses, Transportation Shutdown, Ruined Photos, Damaged Gifts, Sudden Illness, Liability for the Venue (i.e. your mother's residence) are also covered. You can also purchase Liquor Liability Coverage to protect yourself and your mother against liability claims arising from alcohol-related occurrences (subject to policy conditions and exclusions).

You can visit a Travelers Agent to find out more information and/or purchase the policy or you can visit their website at http://www.agentprotectmywedding.com/

I hope this helps. Good Luck and congratulations on your upcoming Wedding!

what's the difference between homeowner's insurance and landlord's insurance?

What's covered in the landlord's insurance not covered by homeowner's insurance.

A previous tenant destroyed our heater. Will that be covered under any of the two?

Thanks in advance for your time.
I'm in Guam right now. Property is in San Diego. Tenant was previously managed by an ex property manager. Tenant no longer there. I just discovered the situation when the new property manager asked a heating company for an estimate.

Well, the homeowners is for owner occupied dwellings, the landlord's policy (not a real insurance term, btw, so it's impossible to know what kind of coverages are there) is for tenant occupied dwellings. IN other words, the owner doesn't live there.

A landlord's policy covers the dwelling. Other coverages can be added – but are not built in. It's more of a cafeteria style insurance policy.

How did the tenant destroy your heater? Vandalism? Did you file charges? You have to file charges. If you're on a homeowners policy, and you don't live there, and the tenant vandalizes something, you could have an exclusion on your policy.

Heck, even on the "landlord" policy, you could have basic coverages – fire only. And then, again, it would depend. Did they set it on fire?

YOUR AGENT is the person to ask, both if the property is insured correctly, and if this claim is covered.

If i move to Australia, which part is best? Im a Nurse with kids & need good uni's and schools. Please help. XXX

Im a nurse in the UK, very disappointed with my country for many reasons and want a better life for myself my husband and my kids. I would like information on university's that study law for my daughter and good schools for my other kids. I would also like info on the healthcare system and how its run, is it like the Amercian system where you have to pay insurance or is it more like the UK with an NHS. Does any-one know of any hospital that specialises in infectious diseases because thats my speciality. Thanx to everybody for reading this and helping me in my search for a better life.

The Best Law School would be in Sydney, but Queensland has fantastic Universities as well where you daughter can continue her studies.

Queensland particularly in Brisbane has Public Hospitals The Royal Brisbane, The Prince Alfred or known as the PA, Mater Hospital, but they also have smaller hospitals private, All these hospitals are quite large and have many areas, some are known for cardiac care and some are more for kids and mums, I am sure if you did a bit of research on these hospitals you may find what you are looking for. Please find below some links that may help you further.

Our Health system is like you NHS but there are terms and conditions on how and who can obtain what we call a Medicare card. There are several very good health care funds around as well. Most Private practise doctors do charge a fee for their services and it is refundable by medicare but not all are available, if you need operations or the such the list for waiting for them through the public system is really long on most things.

If you have good qualifications you should not have to many problems in finding work here but make sure you have all the relative visa and work credentials.

which US universities offer post graduate courses on risk/insurance management?

Which are the good universities in and around new jersey that offer courses in the field of Insurance management

None that I know of. The only thing that really MEANS anything in the insurance world, are the designations from Insurance Institute of America – those would be CIC, CPCU, AAI, AIM, CLU, ARM, AU, etc. I'm sure I'm leaving some out. Sorry.

Can somebody tell me what right Hillary Clinton thinks she has to require everybody to have health insurance?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070917/ap_on_el_pr/clinton_health_care

She has NO right, even as president to MAKE every American have health insurance. It's an individual choice to have it.

This is a free country, and the beauty of freedom is that we can do things that others may not agree with. But to REQUIRE and make people do stuff, is not free.

If it's my choice to not have insurance and pay cash to doctors, it's MY CHOICE.

That's the beauty of America.

Screw this, can't people see the socialism and communism developing.

Vote for Ron Paul

http://www.ronpaul2008.com

By the way, I don't have health insurance and neither does my family.

We pay @ cash doctors.

Health care is not a human right guaranteed by our constitution. Let the FREE MARKET and competitive markets bring the cost of health insurance down.

This is insane and socialistic. It is not freedom. What's going to happen to those who will not pay for insurance? Jail?
EDIT, and no I can't afford it.

I don't even have 100 bucks in the bank.

I would rather it be my own butt, than kill freedoms by REQUIRED big government programs that are unconstitutional.

Congress shall write no law.

SHE A SOCIALIST, Thats what they do, THATS ALL THEY DO, kinda like a terminator
