Commercial property Insurance?

I recently purchased a 4th house but my home insurance denies further coverage and tells me that I can only insure up to 4 houses and must switch to commercial insurance. Is this normal proceedure? Is there any commercial insurance companies that are good and you recommend? Are they as good as the non commercial when you have a claim? Thanks;

Allstate will write up to 15 landlord policies per policyholder, b4 switching to commercial.

Any type of commercial insurance is expensive, I'd avoid it if possible.

What is the Process of bringing my Canadian Fiancee to the United States?

I need some help understanding this process! What Visa does she need to apply for, and will she be able to work in the US until our wedding (in 2 years)?? Will she be able to get american auto insurance with a Canadian drivers license?

She cannot work in the US until you are married unless she can get her own work visa

I work for a mortgage company in Southest Louisiana. A custome of mine got an insurance quote from some company online. They quoted $1400/year for a house that costs $190,000. I closed on a house 3 months ago that sold for $160,000 and their insurance was $3300/year. Something doesn't sound right, especially since we are in a hurricane affected area. Soemone please help!!!

You should be able to go to a web site for the state that you live and it will tell you that information, I believe.
I am an insurance agent and I know in the state I live, you can look up about anything you need to know. You should be able to see if there are any other complaints against them. Or call them. Best of luck to you.

Buying car insurance online

When you buy a car insurance policy online, will you be required to send copies of drivers licenses or car registration? I’ve done it twice and once they did require and once they didnt. Thanks for the help.

Web authoring software or webpage building software. Most sites have people that are trained in different web building languages also! Java, HTML, etc…

What do you mean "what doctor's offices get reimbursed for certain drugs" ?

If you're talking about prescriptions, the insurance company doesn't reimburse the doctor – the payment goes to the pharmacy plan.

Or are you talking about specialty injectibles administered in the doctor's office? Those are pretty much the only sort of drugs that a doctor is going to be reimbursed for by the insurance company.

If you clarify your question, you may get better responses.

Okay – we're talking about injectibles. That makes more sense.

I'm not aware of websites that compile that info for different insurance companies. Especially since different doctors could be contracted for different rates with any one insurer. (Depends on how good their contract negotiator is.)

The fee schedules for Medicare and Medicaid are publicly available – if you know the "J code" for the injectible, Medicare and Medicaid would give you a good starting point to get a ballpark estimate of how much to expect. (Keeping in mind that Medicaid is generally the lowest reimbursement around and any private insurer is going to pay a substantially higher rate than Medicaid.)

You could obviously find out the information from your own insurer, by looking at your Explanation of Benefits. However, I get the impression that you're looking to "comparison shop" and see what the average rate would be for other insurers. That information might be a little tough to compile.

Many contracts for pharmaceuticals are based on a markup from AWP (average wholesale price). For example, one doctor could have a contract for AWP+10% for specialty drugs. (Meaning that if AWP for your drug was $100, your doctor would get reimbursed $110.) Again, different doctor's may have different deals…one doctor in your area could be AWP+10%, while another could be AWP+12%, etc.

If you can get ahold of the AWP (average wholesale price) for your injectible, that could also help you come up with a ballpark range of what the reimbursement might be.

(Yes – I know. It all sounds confusing. I've gotten used to it because I work with this information every day. If you need any more explanation of what I've said here, I can try to come closer to putting it in plain English. lol)

Auto Insurance: Does the auto insurance have to be in the name of the car owner?

My friend is being positioned overseas for 3 years by his company. He has an older car that is paid off. He is allowing me to use it while he is away. I have to have it insured in my name but the car is titled in his name. He will cancel his insurance once I get mine. Can I get auto insurance even though the car title is in someone else's name? I have no ownership in the vehicle.

you should be able to as long as you get his signature on the policy….I did the same with my brother. He was the owner and i was a full time insured driver and he was totally uninsured on the car, i just had the bills sent to me instead of him.
