Got Car Insurance? American insurance?

AIG may sell U.S. auto unit to Zurich: Google that topic…next time your in an accident your 21st Century Insurer is owned by another country..see if you can get a fair deal on your claim.

Contrarian, I recommend an online insurance quote. It's free and quick to do. http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Auto-Insurance-Quote.html

Good Luck!

Why is my online home insurance quote cheaper than the 1 they sent me, its the same company?

It always happens, the renewal quote is always more expensive, ring them up and I bet they will go with the on-line quote to keep you as a customer.

Also go on comparsion sites to see if you can further beat the company you are with http://www.moneysupermarket.com or http://www.confused.com

I have a problem with the trash trucks, they keep knocking down my telephone line and their insurance co wont?

My house is brand new and everything legal. Their ins co says I need proof that it was them. But when I leave for work and the trash truck is coming up the street and five minutes later my wife calls my cell phone and tells me the lines are down again this is more likely so than not. Especiallly when the boy next door saw them do it once! Who should I contact I'm tired of repairing the house every two months.

Have your wife call them as soon as it happens. You know the day of the week and general time the trash truck is coming. So have her watch them. Let them know you have witnesses if the boy next door saw it happen.

Is Bankfers Life & Casualty Co good company to work for?

I just got call from them today for interview next week. I would like to know if anyone has worked for that company and what was your experience. Bankers Life is an insurance company specializing in selling term insurance, life insurace, annuitiesm medicare supplement for seniors. Looks like very legitimate company, more than Primerica or Vector Marketing or Amway.
They called me to come for interveiw and bring my copy of resume and dress professionally.
But it does not look as good as State Farm or Blue Cross Blue Shield. Certainly their products are limited. The thing that I see yellow flag is that when they called me, they did not tell for what position I would be interviewed. It does look like I will be interviewed for sale on commission. It is Ok, I may try as long as I won't have to pay for training or license. It would waste of time and money. Also another turn-off would be for me to make cold-calls and visit homes. Anyway who wants strangers at home?
Currently I am actively looking for job and before they called I planned to apply-in-person in couple places in downtown and job agencies. Of course I used Monster, CareerBuilder but that does not seem enough to land on job. So I am asking here in this forum in order to determine if its worth to go to their interview or better go to downtown. Thanks in advance.

PS. I know the question here has been posted couple times but I did not find info about if I would have to pay upfront.

Anyone say straight comission. It's a great job if you don't want to make money. Primerica is roughly the same thing give or take with the advantage of offering something that people may actually want. Also Primerica is something you can do on the side so it's possible that you can be doing something else at the same time. I can't say Bankers Life is a scam but it's not likely somewhere where you'll find a career and for that matter neither is Primerica. State Farm, Prudential, Allstate are all similar in nature where you'll work reall hard for a real long time and if (theres a real big IF) you survive long enough you'll make a reasonable living.

If you have a pulse Bankers Life and Casualty wants you. They can pretend all they want but as long as you are currently on the 10 most wanted list you're hired. There shouldn't be any real significant upfront. I think I paid for a class to get licensed and then I realized that I made no money for the rest of the time. I didn't lose a ton of money but it was a complete waste of my time.

My insurance wont cover my full coverage claim! HELP.?

My transmission blew and my vehicle caught on fire on January 10th this year. I took it to my automotive company that just flushed the transmission a couple months ago. It has been sitting there since that date. I turned in my claim Jan 11th and since then my insurance company wont call me or discuss this matter. Everytime I talk to them they just give me the run around about they dont have enough info to adjust the price correctly. Its been four months! Ive lost my job cause i have no vehicle, i have no money cause i have no job and now im losing my house cause im having trouble paying my bills… Why in the world have I been paying them for full coverage if they wont help me out any!?!? I dont know what to do!! help me! how long can the insurance do NOTHING and have me sit?? I feel like they are taking me for everything I have.
I did have a fire, the firefighters came out and wrote a report. The damage estimate was totaled for the vehicle. All the wires are melted, the motors gone… I have called them constantly. The garage is not taking responsiblity for it. The insurance isnt saying they wont pay they are just not doing anything.

How long can they ignore you? Forever if you let them. Did you have fire, theft and collision coverage? If so, what is the deductible? How badly was the truck damaged? Can it be repaired, or is it totaled? Has the adjuster looked at it?

Figure out how much it will take to make you happy, subtract your deductible if any from that figure, and make a claim for that amount. Stay on them until you get an answer from them. Is the repair shop taking any responsibility for the fire since they had worked on the transmission? Find out, and if not, find out why not.

You've got to be proactive. You can always call the insurance regulator or attorney general in your state and complain. You can contact your state senator and complain. You can threaten to hire an attorney.

Again, it's up to you to ask for what you want and go after it.
