Auto insurance breaks?

I was reading CNN money and it states that, “Insurers provide discounts to reward behavior that reduces risk. However, Americans waste some $300 billion a year because they forget to ask for them!”

I was wondering if people could share the insurance breaks they receive from their auto loan providers.

i guess they could share – like in my case i usually get a reward up to 100 every six months — now who should i share it with!!

She cannot work in the US until you are married unless she can get her own work visa

Important Auto Insurance Question?

A non-American girl, arrives in the USA to start her studies. She has a drivers license she received from her home country. There is this "law" saying that if a foreing person already has a driver's license he/she can transfer it into an american drivers license without taking the road test. So she did just that.??She went to an auto insurance agency. The person there simply asked her whether she has been driving for 4 years, without specifying that she had to be driving in the USA for 4 years. She answered positively even though she hadnt been driving in the USA for 4 years. Now she is insured with that company.??I'm 22 from the same country just got my drivers license in the USA without "transfering" the one i got from my home country. I called the same company for a quote, telling them that i have been driving since i was 18 in my home country (hoping i wasnt considered as a new driver) and what they told me was that "we cant insure you because you dont have any driving record in
the US". ??So what i want to know is: How does an insurance company know whether a foreign new driver is really a new driver or not???Someone told me that if that person was never licensed in the US then the insurance company will have to take your word for it. Is that true??

I don't know to which state you are referring, but I'm a licensed insurance broker in New York. Generally, if you can demonstrate previous driving history – from anywhere – you should not be considered a "new" driver. In New York you have to show three years driving history to no longer be considered "inexperienced". They don't simply have to take your word for it; you have to prove it. While your original license (if you still have it) should show a issue date which would demonstrate driving experience, the most helpful thing that you could do for yourself would be to secure a copy of your driving history/record/abstract from your home country which would show not only the original issue date of your driver's license but also your driving history. Good luck!

Why do illegals streaming in from Mexico think the American taxpayer should support them?

You can see lillegal mexicans lined up at wire transfer offices each friday their american greenbacks to mexico while the american taxpayer is required to dig deep into his pockets to pay for the illegals education, his bambinos he is making here, food stamps. we are paying high auto insurance because he refuses to buy any.

You act like the Mexicans are coming here to do nothing. They are coming here to work.
Taxes are still taken out of their paychecks and those taxes pay for everything that you just mentioned.
They also pay for social security that they will never see.

Do you really think that Mexican=bum?
You sound like a bigot.
Are you a bigot?
Nationalist?
Racist?
Stupid?
Immigrants (legal and illegal) are 40% less likely to collect welfare than the average American.
Why aren't you whining about welfare altogether?
Welfare is the problem, not immigrants.
Let me also assure you, if all the illegals were gone, taxes would not be lowered.
The government would just find another way to spend our money.

how much can my insurance company get from me?i am an american living in canada. as far as my auto insuran?

how much can my insurance company get from me?

as far as my auto insurance company is concerned, i am still living in the u.s. because i havent changed anything with them. my insurance companies guidelines is that i am allowed to stay in canada for a maximum of 30 days. if my insurance company finds out that i am actually living in canada, how much can they charge me? can they discontinue my coverage straight away?
i was concerned that they may sue me for violating their contract because i havent told them i am living in canada but at the same time, i am not eligible to sign up for service here because i am not a permanent resident and have no status in this country.

As you are in breach of company policy with regards to residency, the company will simply cancel your policy. If you were to have a claim prior to cancellation, the claim would not be honoured.

Home Insurance? I'm thinking of Farm Bereau or American Family.?

Has anyone experienced either of these for home or auto insurance?

We had Farm Bureau for our homeowners and we still have them for our Auto. We have had nothing but positive results with them. We had the top of a tree fall on our house when we were trying to sell it and we had a check in about a week. When we purchase our next home we will use Farm Bureau. Plus if you have them for your home owners and auto insurance you get a discount.

What do you know about motorcycle insurance?

I spoke with my auto insurance agent this morning (at American Family). She said the following:

1. Full coverage insurance on an everyday 2004 (500cc) Honda Motorcycle would run me about $130/year.

2. I can't get any kind of coverage on a sport bike until I've had my motorcycle license for 10 years; and even if I did, it would cost me $1,000/year.

Please tell me everything you know about motorcycle insurance. Do I even need it? I want to buy a used sport bike (600cc or less) and spend around $3k for it. If something happens, it's not like I'm wrecking a $20k new car or even my primary transportation – and the cost to fix it wouldn't be that bad. Even if it was, at $1,000/year for insurance, I might as well just take my chances, right?
I'm a 22 year old male. I will be taking the motorcycle safety course in late spring or early summer this year. I will then get my motorcycle license.
My issue is that I CANNOT GET insurance for a sport bike, even if I was willing to pay $1,000. They said I need to have a license for 10 years and I'm not willing to wait around for a decade.

Who will give me coverage on a sport bike for cheap being an inexperienced rider?

I rode for 12 years and always found Dairyland to provide great coverage at very low costs. Give them a look, it may be worth your while.
