How much did my insurance agent make on a homeowners and auto renewal ($1000/American Fam)?

What do these agent make on original policies and renewals. Do insurance companies differ on agent compensation?

It varies wildly from state to state, and company to company.

americans getting auto insurance in England?

Going to do a road rally in England, can Americans get some type of auto insurance on a car there or can they be put on someone’s insurance to drive, I wll also be getting a International drivers license

I don’t really understand the question fully – will you be renting a vehicle or using someone else’s private vehicle?

If you are renting a vehicle, you can pay by credit card. Many credit card companies offer vehicle insurance in their terms, so check with your company before you leave the States to come to Britain. Alternatively, many rental companies offer additional insurance when you hire the vehicle in the UK.

If you are using someone else’s private vehicle, the insurance works very differently than in the States. Insurance is for individual drivers, not for the car. For example, I happen to be fully insured with full comp to drive my vehicle and any other vehicle in the UK. However, my sister-in-law is only insured to drive her own vehicle and not mine or anyone else’s. Does that make sense? It depends on the individual cover for insurance on vehicles, or on corporate insurance for business drivers.

Many travel insurance schemes in the States offer car insurance as part of the premium. I would recommend purchasing travel insurance before you go on your trip to cover vehicle insurance, loss of baggage, medical insurance, etc. while you are abroad. check with your insurance, they[some] cover an area of about 30 miles into mexico at least ours do. Or you can just purchase insurance for a trip to cover certain miles into the interior of mexico
