If someone gives you the answers, that won't do you any good. You need to study the material. You'll need to know state insurance laws, definitions of insurance terminology, etc.. If someone just gives you the answers, you won't be learning, just memorizing the answers. You need to also know the reason for the questions, and the reasons for the correct answers.

If you are looking for a career in the insurance business, get serious about it. You'll have to learn it and live it. You'll be learning the insurance business your whole career.

The insurance business is not a 9-5 job. You'll get out of what you put into it.

If I were the manager who is recruiting you, and knew you were trying to get answers for the state licensing exam from anyone who will give them to you without your studying, I would think twice about hiring you.

They are offering me a Sales Management Job. Even though I do not have any experience in sales . And I have never been a Manager Before . Is this job for real

It could be depending on your other experience. Sales management positions in some career agencies can be more of a recruiter position. Check it out and make sure you have a clear understanding of what is expected of you. In these type of jobs you usually have a salary that declines over a two year period while you are building up your agents. If you do a good job your salary will be replaced by override commission on the agents you hired.

I have an interview with Bankers Life and Casualty Insurance Co on Monday… What do you people think of them?

I posted my resume on hotjobs just for sh*ts and giggles and they contacted me telling me they wanted to give me an interview.. Do the hand them out like candy? They said i would be interviewing for a Manage Trainee position and Agent Consultant.. What is the difference between the two and what do you people think? I am at a great job right now and make decent money, but a man has got to better himself right? What do you think?

Just from limited experience with a couple of Bankers Agents, I would say they hire anyone they can get.

I would recommend New York Life, or Northwestern Mutual if you want to be a captive agent.

Can you make a living selling insurance for bankers life?

You can make a great living with them. However, initially it tkaes time to build rapport with people and develop a client base. Like all good things, it takes time to do it right. You are given three months to produce, for free. After that, if you don't you are out on the street after another couple. Been there worked for them. Now I own my own company.

I can't identify a current licensee by that name, so I assume you have an old life insurance policy you want information about?

Contact the CO Division of Insurance's office 1-800-930-3745; they're responsible for keeping records regarding all insurers that incorporate in their state and should be able to tell you what its current name is.

Which Insurance company should I work for? Bankers Life and Casualty or American Income?

I had an interview with Bankers Life today and I have an interview with American Income next Tuesday. I haven’t obtained my license yet but I am considering becoming an agent.

How do I know if this career choice is right for me?
And which company pays more and provides more benefits?

Banker’s is a B-Rated carrier. I don’t think I could sell a b-rated carrier with a straight face…also consider their parent company, Conseco, almost went belly up. I believe they actually filed bankruptcy and exited it…if memory serves.

Why not go to work for a broker so you can sell the right plan for the client every time and not just the plan of the company that’s on your business card. The client wins and you win too.

Has anyone ever worked for a life insurance company that paid by comission?

What was the advantages? Disadvantages?

I am in the running for an insurance company called "bankers life and causality" so if you work for that, more advice would be great!

I don't have sales experience, so I wouldn't dream of accepting a job paid on commission….I would probably be broke all the time not making enough sales. If you do sales experience you should be fine. Good luck!

Has anybody ever heard of "Bankers life and Casualty insurance? Is this a good company to work with?

I have an appointment with this people for a job interview. They claim that They've been in business since the 1870's, but I've never heard of them ( then again I'm from another country). Can anybody tell me if this is a good place to work in?

If you have an interview with them, get ready to be entertained. I went for an interview a few years back and it sounded like such a hoax. The one I went to was a group interview and they kept saying about how you can get bonus checks for $30,000 within your first couple months. If money was that easy to make, we would all be rich.

The company sells insurance to the elderly in the event that they need to be put into a nursing home or have home assisted care (been a few years since I heard their spheal so I may be a bit off). They have apparantly been around for quite some time, but like you, I had never heard of them either and I have never heard of anyone who worked for them either.

Go to the interview, listen to the info and make up your own mind. I just remember all of us at the interview leaving making jokes about how much of a hoax it sounded like.
