buy insurance online

Where is a good place online or elsewhere to buy travel insurance to cover flight and lodging.?

I was also wondering how it worked.

TravelEx is probably one of the best plans for this. For what it seems you are looking for, try the TravelLite Policy. It is less expensive than the other options and will cover your flight delays, luggage, and lodging.

can i buy contacts online using only my insurance?

i have vsp insurance.. is this possible?

Full VSP benefits can only be used at private offices, not Costco, Wal-Mart, etc. I believe you will receive an out-of-network reimbursement through VSP. However, you will have to do all of the billing yourself. Going this route means you lose money because you are not fully utilizing your benefits. Even though the contacts might be a few dollars cheaper per box, it does not make up the difference for the loss in reimbursement.

were can i buy auto insurance online?

For auto insurance the easiest method to get a cheap quote is do a car policy comparison. Be sure to choose the same coverage levels, you can get an accurate quote to compare against others. Use the same zip code, car make and model, mileage and driving history to make sure you get accurate comparison. To get easy auto quotes, go to http://www.usinsuranceadvisor.com/Auto-Insurance.html and you can compare all the major auto insurance companies.

Is buying health insurance online a good idea?

What has your experience been? Did you save money and still get good benefits and service?

Of course I'm biased because that's what I do, BUT to be clear you're not saving any money buying from my website over sitting across the desk from me.

Insurance is a regulated industry and it does not matter how you buy it and health insurance shouldn't be so complicated that you need to meet with anybody to do it. I have clients around the world and right down the street and even the ones that are close by handle everything via the phone and Internet.

People buy from an Internet site because it's convenient. You want to make sure you're buying from someone that does what I do. Don't go to a big firm because then you're just dealing with a customer service representative and not building a lasting relationship with an advocate that can help you.

To MAKE SURE you're buying from someone reputable look at the 'About Us' section of their web site. If you can't find a physical address then don't use them, call them on the phone as well and feel them out. Finally look around the site for information. MANY sites simply gather your information to sell to agents to call you. In that case you have no idea who you're dealing with. So, if the site doesn't provide much information about the products you're looking for then it's likely just a site to capture your information.

Do business with a broker and do it online or over the phone if that works for you. Also, finally everything that's good online is available offline as well. There is NO difference in the products. It's just the easier way to transact the business. AND, make no mistake that applications done online WILL BE FASTER to the tune of at least two weeks off the underwriting time (of course that differs company to company). United Healthcare can underwrite an online application in as quick as 24-48 hours. If you mail in an application it won't even arrive in their mailbox that fast.

Lastly make sure you're comparing multiple companies with someone you can trust.

(PS I've never seen a Nigerian health insurance company….shaking head and rolling eyes….)

is it wise to buy life insurance online?

Short answer: no

Online quotes are always based on the best rates the company can possibly give you (Super Preffered health status), so they look like they are cheapest company to deal with

It is far easier to deal with an insurance broker who can cut to the chase and tell you exactly what it will cost rather than getting a cheap quote then finding out when it’s approved it will cost you a pile more becuase you aren’t in impecible/abnormally good health.

There may also be a unique situation, that the online application would not look at. For example, if you are a smoker, some companies have ’stop smoking’ incentives where they refund premiums. The initial quote will be more expensive than the others, but when you quit smoking it ends up being FAR cheaper. Every company underwrites a little different so a broker can assess your situation and find the best company to suit your situation.

Plus cheaper isn’t always better. You might have an opportunity to pay an extra $1 to be with a company that has been around for 100 years, rather than the cheapest who might be a fly by night company that ends up bankrupt in a few years. A broker will know the good companies from the bad.

A good broker doesn’t charge fees for meeting with you, so why not get the free advice from an expert rather than doing it on your own?

Can i buy contacts online using my insurance only?

I HAVE EYE MEDS INSURANCE?

Usually the online places do not take insurances. But, you could call your Eye Med insurance and see if there is a place that is on their panel. Usually not with Eye Med as they are owned by the same people who own a lot of large chain opticals that they promote heavily. But, you never know. Call the insurance and see.

Can you buy glasses online with VSP Insurance?

My optometrist has like 12 styles to chose from, I need more options! I asked my optometrist to fax me my presecription, so I have that … but I just dont know if VSP vision insurance allows for online purchases.
Thanks!

Try Lenscrafters online. They accept almost all vision plans.

There is also a program called "FrameConnect" that allows VSP doctors more variety in what type of frames they can offer. Perhaps you can research that and find a doctor who is synced with that program.

Can you tell me where do i go to buy cheap health insurance? How about online health insurance?

I'm 23 and my parents can't cover me under family insurance anymore. Buying from my work place is very expensive and have to work at least 32 hours. Buying from University is about $1,400 a year. I need help, plz offer your opinion. Thank you.

$1400 a year is a great price for medical insurance… go for it.

Once you're ready to work FT, hopefully your insurance will be one of the benefits offered, but for now stick with the University insurance.

That's what it's for~

:)

What are the downsides of buying health insurance online instead of through a broker?

Based on your experience, what are the advantages/disadvantages of buying a health insurance plan online vs. offline? Does anyone have any recommendations on good sites to buy from and which sites I should avoid?

Play them against each other. A good broker won't mind a little friendly competition and will give you a better understanding and more importantly, a better result. Everybody who answers this question has their own biases (me too), but its about you not us.
