How many 1st line car insurance companies are there?

Basicly who do GEICO, E-ENSURANCE,ISG & others have that they get to do the final insuring?

The thing about insurance is that there are many companies that they finance through to insure you. So no telling how many Geico or esurrance has to go through just to get you insured. Plus there are many factors that need to be considered such as if you've never had insurance before, you get stuck in a category called "non-standard"(high risk). You pay a higher premium than the person who has "standard"(lower risk) because you are a brand new risk and over a 6 months period do they monitor if you will be able to go for the standard soon.

I am 26 Years old and I don't have health insurance. I was looking online and saw that there a alot of health insurance plans you can buy online. I was thinking about doing this but I wasn't sure how safe and legitamet it was. So if there is anyone who has had experiences good or bad please help me out.

Depending on where you reside there are several options that are very good. And some of these you can purchase on line.

mbrcatz17 is being a little over cautous in this case. We have several carriers that are on our website that you can purchase on line – and they are legit.

A good rule of thumb is to stay with the bigger named carriers like:

Blue Cross, Wellpoint, United Healthcare, Aetna, Humana etc.

Dont fall for the no-name company's. Most of the above carriers offer the ability for you to purchase on line, directly through the carrier website – or through the agent/brokers website.

When people purchase insurance through our website with out contacting us it really bothers me. The reason is there are so many options availble and so many differences between the plans that it always helps to use a local agent/broker that has knowledge and understanding of the plans that are in your area.

Is anyone else having a problem with a Direct Line Insurance pop up only when on your mail page?

The pop up keeps trying to take over the page. I have pop up turned off and all types of security. The page says there is an Error. It only happens with Yahoo Inbox.

Why is buying car insurance on line such an appallingly bad experience?

If you have never done it don't ever be tempted to try.
It's an experience that never leaves you, you will become an embittered wreck.
Even in days of old they never devised a form of torture more cruel.

Because car insurance is a very complicated product (oh yes it is)

Because insurers need lots of information to provide accurate quotes (show me an aggregator website and I'll show you a company providing misleading quotations)

People buy insurance online because – hey it's new let's try it! and forget that you buy a policy one day and you have 364 other days when you might have to make use of it – but they forget that buying online loses the personal touch – and that many online/ direct providers now have staff who know nothing about insurance principals – just how to sell.

how come direct line insurance is much cheaper than any other ?

ok , so i do a quote on direct line for a car and it comes out as £900 fully comp I DO exactly the same quote but on compare the market and the cheapest quote is £1800 ,
is there something wrong with dirct lines online system or is it really that much better ? !
what i mean is how come there is such a difference between my direct line quote and every one off of comparethemarket ?

I think it is Pink Floyd, but not "Careful with that axe, Eugene".

It is "Come in No 51 your time is up" – also by Floyd and almost identical.

The director of a film called Zabriskie Point wanted to use the music for his end sequence where a scorned woman blows up a man's possessions to the music. Visually very similar to the advert – so looks like the ad's director
was 'inspired' by the film.
