Do Insurance Companies black list employees who have filed civil action law suites and won?

Help! my friend is highly qualified, but has been unemployed for 6 months with kids to feed. She is cetain that there is some balcklisting going on. Can any one verify this? How can one get out of this list?

There is no "black list", however, insurance people are huge on networking. If she's hard to work with, or creates problems (multiple lawsuits? Sounds like both, maybe??) when hiring, you always go to "the grapevine" and ask, hey, have you worked with Sarah Smith? What's she like?? Oh, she doesn't dress professional? Takes lots of time off? Won't pitch in when things get tough? Won't work overtime when needed? Is hypersensitive or has a chip on her shoulder about (insert civil lawsuit issues here)? Thanks for the info!!!

I dont have the performance details. i think that you will get it in their websites. The best is the LIC of india which is a less profitable insurance but a trusty one. next is icici prudential and tiger is the best insurance companies as of my knowledge.

Listen, they aren't going to write for you directly! You can't call them and say, hey, give me a quote!!

You HAVE to go through an agent. Call a local agent – or five – and ask them to get you some quotes. If you don't have an agent, call a competitor, ask to talk to their risk manager, and ask who THEIR agent is, and start there.

Not all companies write in all states. Who has the best deal for private schools in IL? I DON"T KNOW. But I do know that the companies that do private schools – like Zurich – won't write directly. Only through their agents.

hi i need a detailed list of all registered insurance companies in florida. i tried dun and broadstreet but their service is too expensive and i also contacted AM Best but they are even more expensive. please let me know a good resource for this information.
i imagine that the state has this information set as public but i dont know how i can access it.

You go to your state insurance department website – they should have a list of all admitted carriers.

You can also go to the insurance department in person, to see what stuff they've "filed".

Then you go to www.sec.gov, and all of the publicly traded companies have financials posted there.

No, because not all companies offer insurance in all states, and many do not offer coverage out of hte country.

If you're looking for a particular state, you can go to that state insurance department's website, and they usually have posted the companies licensed to do business in that state.

Keep in mind, however, that some companies who are NOT licensed to do business in that state, will still write coverage for houses (not a true homeowners package policy), so it's not all inclusive.

If you wish to put in the 150 hours or so of work it's going to take to compile the list, and post it on the internet for free, feel free to do so.

Nope. Top means something different to lots of people. Biggest sellers? Most policyholders? Fewest complaints with the state? Fastest claims service? Fewest claims denied? Highest pay for salespeope? Most friendly to working moms?

Hate to say this but most people that buy flood insurance do it because it is required by their lender and they only purchase enough to cover the loan, not enough to rebuild their home. They come in "kicking & screaming" because they are being forced into it & hate it. So if someone only owed $50,000 & only purchased $50,000 flood coverage on their $200,000 home, if they have a flood, the insurance will apply the co-insurance clause (if you are not insured to 80% of the cost to rebuild in this case $160,000, up to the maximum available – $250,000 – the insurance will only pay their % of the loss – in this case 5/16 of $50,000, so they won't even pay the full $50,000), less their deductible, leaving the insured with a flooded out house, still owing something on the loan & nothing to start over. It is unfortunately the insureds own fault that they didn't purchase enough coverage and not reading the policy.
I had one person recently come in for flood insurance that the bank was requiring & insisted that he get only the mortgage amount. I explained the co-insurance clause, he told me in no uncertain terms "if my house gets flooded, I have no problem walking away from it, I just want to satify the bank requirement."
I do have some insureds that take flood insurance seriously & want to be protected properly, but not many. Most people only buy it if their lender requires it, if they don't have a mortgage, they usually won't buy it because "my house never flooded", until the flood comes & they are blaming everyone else for not being covered.
