Amusing commercials aside, is Geico a good auto insurance company?
I'm mostly concerned about the customer service and the speed and efficiency with which claims are handled.

progressive was cheaper and they had a local office so geico is not always better..

as a geico customer for the past ten years, i would have to say that they're excellent. if you have a claim they will resolve it within 48 hrs. they are less expensive than other companies. you can get in touch with them 24 hrs a day, and you can get a policy within 15 minutes. (if you have a printer you could get cards right away too)

Geiko is o k, but you can get cheaper premiums from other carriers. Just shop around.
