what can I do if my Homeowners insurance company drops me just for living on the Eastern Seaboard?
I dont know, that doesnt sound right…especially if you are an existing customer! They can stop writing new policies that are located on the Eastern Seaboard, or even drop you after filing in a claim, but just drop you for for that reason on an existing account? There is something utterly wrong with that! Maybe you should check with your state's Office of Insurance Regulation!
I don't think there is much you can do other than find a different insurance company. Insurance companies leave entire states after disasters. So if you think you can force them to insure you, I don't think you will find success.
Besides, why would you want anyone (including an insurance company) that doesn't want you as a customer? If you have a claim, what will be your chances to get compensation?
