how can i find a detailed list of all registered insurance companies in florida for free?
hi i need a detailed list of all registered insurance companies in florida. i tried dun and broadstreet but their service is too expensive and i also contacted AM Best but they are even more expensive. please let me know a good resource for this information.
i imagine that the state has this information set as public but i dont know how i can access it.

You go to your state insurance department website – they should have a list of all admitted carriers.
You can also go to the insurance department in person, to see what stuff they've "filed".
Then you go to www.sec.gov, and all of the publicly traded companies have financials posted there.
Call your state Department of Insurance (Insurance Commissioner)
