Has anyone had experience of online insurance quotes?
Looking for house insurance. 2 companies came up with a direct quote, 2 others took all my info, then cut me off.
Call a broker. You won't be sorry when you have a problem and there is someone there to help you who is on your side.
Try RIAS they take a few days to send out the quote but they were very reasonable. Well worth the wait.

I've used online quotes for motor insurance and taken out policies on the strength of them. I've obtained quotes for home and contents insurance but have found the discount for placing the insurance with the same provider as my car usually outweighs the savings online.
I've probably tried them all at sometime but find the comparison sites such as http://www.moneysupermarket.com best for narrowing it down – you only have to put your details in once to get multiple quotes – then go direct to the providers own website to confirm rates and cover.
