Anyone aware of a site for this? Is it a good idea. I know life and health are complicated but I think agents make it confusing sometimes…
www.winquote.net is the one I go to for life insurances.
Personally, I would avoid buying or shopping on line. Cheapest is not always the best, plus every situation is different.
Example: There is a company in Canada that has a stop smoking incentive for their clients. You quit smoking within the first 2 years of having the policy and they’ll refund most of the extra cost for being a smoker back to when you first took out the policy. Initially they are more expensive, but if a person is already thinking of quiting or recently quit, they will get that extra paid premium back, which makes the insruance one of the cheaper ones (this company is cheap on non-smokers, but a little more expensive on smokers compared to others in the industry). Shopping online won’t tell you that….

I have been very happy with SAIF.
Here's the situation. I have a 15 year old son who is about to get his provisional license. His mother, my ex-wife, and step-father want to buy him a car. They will buy it, they will be on the title, they will be the owners. If they insure the car in their own name, is there a separate policy for my son as the driver? In other words, could I add my son to my insurance policy and he be able to drive "their" car? How does that work for my two other vehicles? And how does that work for their other two vehicles? Obviously, there will be times that he'll need to drive something other than this car that they are buying for him.
both driver and vehicle are covered on policy
your son should be covered on the car that he will drive most often and added to the family policy of his mother and step-father because they are the custodial parents and their name is on the title of the car
since he does not live with you, he will be covered if you give him permission to drive your vehicles
I have no experience in selling insurance and yet they called me for interviews. I have been to two interviews already and they impressed me with numbers and compensation. But is it true? And what is the work environment like? Do you have to pay money out of your pocket besides paying for your own transportation and business cards? My family says its a scam and i will be making a big mistake. Answers from people who work in san antonio's office would be nice. But any answer is helpful.
You will have to get your insurance license in order to be paid ANY commissions from the policies that they will sell when you take your sales manager out and introduce him/her to all your family and friends. Once you get your license the company will drop all your commissions to you at once so it will be a big paycheck, but you have to be licensed in order to be paid. As far as I know Bankers is an alright company, you will be a captive agent with them which means you can only sell their products. With no experience, if you like the insurance business, it could be a good start for you to learn the business. Ask them about getting licensed, are they going to send you to classes and will they pay for it. Some companies do that are hungry for agents. As far as the environment, you will have a sales manager to train you, and he/she will ride with you when you go out on the leads that they will provide to you to sell insurance to. They have a pretty good lead system in place so you may do good if you are a go getter and like talking to people. Best wishes
I'm mostly concerned about the customer service and the speed and efficiency with which claims are handled.

oh yea…automotive liability insurance…because i searched the net…i guess not thoroughly because all i am getting insurance for businesses.
its just me.
Alll the insurance companys have liability, its the type of coverage instead of full coverage. Try this site
http://yourfinance.co.cc/Insurance.html
here you can get quotes from different companies in your area.
there is no one best for everyone in insurance. the best way to find whats best for you is to call an independent agent in your area and have them do the searching for you. its easy and its free. if you can place your home with the same company you have your auto with, this will give you a discount on the policies, so that's another place to look.
