How long should it take for you to get your wedding photo album complete?
I'm approaching the annivesary and wedding insurance will not cover soon they better hurry up I take it this is unusual?
If you're working with a professional photographer and purchased an album along with their services, you should generally get your album about 6 to 8 weeks once you approve the design of the album layout.
If you haven't heard from your photographer in a while, give them a call to see what is the hold-up.

No longer than 8 months. I know that sounds like a long time…yet it's typical….between 6 and 8 months. It's time to make some calls and knock on some doors. 1 year is far too long.

It should take no more than 2 to 3 months. If it's close to a year then you need to tell them that they either need to give you a complete wedding photo album within a week or that you will get a lawyer involved. Hopefully they give you the album along with a discount for making you wait so long.

Did they not tell you the turnaround times in your contract? Refer to your written agreement.
Six to eight months from your wedding date is about all the longer it should take.
Are they waiting on something from you? A lot of albums require some collaboration with the clients to complete.
If they have disappeared behind the voice mail, email or a bunch of excuses it may be time to get tough.
Communicate your disappointment with their delays and let them know you participate in online bridal forums on http://www.theknot.com and elsewhere. Say how you would hate to have to be telling other brides about your frustrations.

Do not call them. Do not write them. Do not e-mail them.
Instead make a personal visit and see what you can do to finalize the project. The photographer could be waiting for feedback from you to dial in the final product.
I advise all my friends, when they are looking for a photographer, to see if they can have the original files released to them in a DVD and have that written in the contract. In this tough economy, you can negotiate different terms.
